Fruit Loop Dust

June 17, 2015

Have you ever found yourself with a surplus of Fruit Loops? Yeah, probably not, but I did and thanks to Pinterest I found a way to use them. Even if you DON'T have a bunch of Fruit Loops left over from another project, for about $3 you can buy a box and do this super easy craft. Colored sand can be pretty pricey, and this alternative is cheap (and smells good!).

First, separate all your loops by color. Make it a game and race to fill your bag!

Next, put each batch into a food processor. I used my handy-dandy Magic Bullet and pulsed until it was a fine powder. You could blend it for less time if you want a more sandy texture.

Next we painted with glue, being mindful of which color we wanted to use.

Sprinkle, sprinkle...

Shake it off, and continue...

And voilà!

We even had some pretty leftovers...

Have fun, and don't lick your fingers because that's gross!
